As you will observe Mr Cooper and our team are very respected in the local community as the Cooper family have made a great effort to support our workers and friends in the local area.
The main hubs are THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, funded by the Cooper family (where his children attend). This is run by Head teacher EGNES KILLSKA.
The school is also fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS).
Maplai HEALTH CENTRE/SMALL HOSPITAL, where our Doctor, BAKO ADESINA, works. Bako is a qualified Doctor who studied in Nigeria. He has been with us for 2 years and has an excellent trained Staff of nurses.
United Saviour CHURCH – this is a largely Christian community that has a strong membership and welcomes anyone staying with us to attend their bi-weekly services.
And then there is the modest POLICE STATION. ANEMI KIPKORIR is the senior Police Officer. Her main concern is issues within the local town but she also works closely with our Rangers at COOPER’s Reserve to stop poachers.
Eben Cooper is the current custodian of the Coopers name, a fourth generation hunter, he specialises in the big five.
We are happy to cater for all levels of experience, in fact we can think of nothing better than helping you get your first kill!
Experienced hunters will never be bored, as you know well each hunt brings something entirely new and we are confident you will not be let down.
Safari hunting only uses old males which make up 5% of the total wildlife population in an area. Out of this population, the annual use would be about 10%. In other words, the actual use is minimal and not damaging to the wildlife resources. Most old males targeted by Safari hunting are past their breeding potential, and at the apex of their life before decline and natural death.
We at Coopers take your health as our first priority, just let us know in advance and we’ll take all needed accommodations.
